I may have unintentionally confused my 2 year old granddaughter about the whole thing that Santa Claus brings Christmas presents, when one morning the UPS man rang the doorbell and Kennedy and I answered it. He was holding 6 boxes. I told Kennedy, "Oh look, Kennedy, the UPS man has brought lots of Christmas presents." We thanked him and hurried inside to open all the boxes. I did all my Christmas shopping from my computer this year. Mostly that means I stuck to a budget. I am terrible at walking through a store and just buying all kinds of fun looking trash. I keep my focus much better shopping by computer.
Anyway, I knew none of them were for Kennedy, so we enjoyed checking them out. Then a couple of days later as we were taking a stroll down the street, a UPS truck turned on our street. He stopped at a house right in front of us and carried a box to the neighbor's door. I said to Kennedy, "I think they are getting a Christmas present." As he walked passed us, Kennedy looked up at him and said in the sweetest and clearest voice, "I like you." I think that made the UPS man's day. He smiled at her and walked to his truck with a spring in his step.
